Donate your guitar and receive a tax deduction! The Guitar Society is requesting that you search in your closets and attics for those guitars you haven't played in the last years and donate them to us as a tax deduction. We are working on gathering guitars with guitar cases, music stands, foot stands, and even guitar music to help support our new teaching project at the Richmond Village Beacon, an after school program for George Washington High School students. To donate a guitar, please contact the Guitar Society at sfguitarsociety@yahoo.com. Each guitar donated will lend support to each high school student participant. The teaching project begins in the fall, so now is the time to clean out those closets!

The San Francisco Classical Guitar Society is an all-volunteer non profit organization which was established in February 1997. We offer monthly concerts at various venues in the city of San Francisco. From 7:30-8:00 p.m. we have an open mic at which Guitar Society members may play, and our formal concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. These concerts are $5 for members and $10 for non-members (see membership info). (except for special events, for which pricing varies).

We offer concerts of world class classical guitarists, as well as open mic evenings that are available for all levels to perform in. We are a community based organization and our mission statement is to "Promote the awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the classical guitar."
